Hydroponic Lettuce Tower

A custom 3D printed vertical hydroponics tower for growing lettuce indoors. Currently growing Buttercrunch lettuce in a soil-free, water-based system.

Overview

This project started as an experiment in growing food indoors year-round without soil. The tower was designed and 3D printed from scratch, and uses a recirculating nutrient solution to feed the plants.

Hydroponics lets plants grow faster than in soil because nutrients are delivered directly to the roots. The controlled environment also means no pests, no weeding, and harvests year-round regardless of weather.
